James Jordan holds an accomplished track record within the world of VFX, not only being an experienced VFX Supervisor, but also VFX Shoot Supervisor and VFX Unit Director. He provides on hand approach providing full supervision of CGI / VFX from script or storyboard to screen. His ability to provide first-hand experience of technical processes, that are used in shooting and post production, provides unrivalled all round direction for any project.


In his role as VFX Supervisor / Producer James has contributed to and put together talented VFX teams including managing 2D /3D artists, on numerous dramas, docu-dramas, and film productions including the films "Son of God" for Executive producers Mark Burnett and Roma Downey, "Polar Bear" and "Honey Trap", drama, "First Emperor", Emmy nominated series "The Bible" and the critically acclaimed "Dark Matters". When designing VFX he has worked closely with the Director and production teams globally and assisted in breaking down scripts, budgeting for the work and managing creative execution and delivery. James also continues to work commercials for brands such as Mercedes, Porche, Gillete and Pepsi.


His dedicated and structured approach on all projects, has proven to deliver bespoke results to client projects and paved the way for innovative thinking within the industry.


After Studying Electronic and Communication Engineering James entered the film and T.V. industry in 1986 as a Film Equipment technician. Since joining the industry James’ can do and innovative approach has helped him to excell in many aspect of production. Initially working alongside production companies to determine their camera and video equipment and technical needs James worked on a range of commercials and feature film projects, such as "Aliens", "Emerald Forest", "Sid and Nancy" and "Absolute Beginners". It was whilst working on sets that the passion for Visual Effects was born. After six years as a Film Technician James moved into Post Production. Initially working as a assistant online editor he moved quickly moved up through the rank to become a senior editor and compositor. Working for numerous clients such as AMV, Saatchi & Saatchi and TBWA. Commercials included Nissan, National Lottery and British Telecom. Film projects include Golden Eye, Muppet Treasure Island and Hackers, for Elizabeth, Captain Jack and Lost in Space. During James’ unique career path he has acquired a diverse skill set as well as gaining the necessary experience for the role of Visual Effects Supervisor / Producer. His thorough understanding of the processes involved in taking visual effect from script through to screen allow me to add value to a wide range of TV and Film projects.
